Buying fittings & adapters at HodlChip
Fittings connect tubing to blocks, radiators and reservoirs. Almost every PC water cooling part uses G1/4" threads, so fittings work across brands. Match the tubing first:
- Soft tubing: compression fittings are sized by outer and inner diameter, for example 13/10 or 16/10 mm. The Tube size filter shows each fitting's size.
- Hard tubing: hard tube fittings are sized by outer diameter, usually 12, 14 or 16 mm, and seal with O-rings. Use the For hard tubing filter.
- Adapters and extensions: 90° and 45° rotary adapters, male-to-female extensions and multi-port blocks solve awkward angles and spacing.
- Quick disconnects and plugs: quick disconnects let you remove a radiator or graphics card without draining the loop; a drain fitting at the lowest point makes maintenance easier.
Keep to one tube size per loop, and buy a few spare fittings, as running short mid-build is common. Each angled fitting adds a little flow restriction, so use them where they save a bend, not everywhere. Tighten fittings by hand: too much force can crack acrylic block tops. Find tubing in tubing and tools in loop tools & accessories, and plan the loop with our custom water cooling guide.
