Shipping: destinations, carriers, costs and delivery times

Every HodlChip order ships from our warehouse in Germany, tracked and in discreet packaging, to 47 countries in Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East and Oceania. Here is who delivers your parcel, what it costs and how long it takes.

Who delivers your parcel

• DHL for standard delivery in Europe: DHL Paket within Germany, DHL Parcel International to the rest of the EU, the UK, Switzerland and Norway.
• TNT, the FedEx group's European express network, for express delivery within the EU, and with TNT Economy Express for furniture-size items anywhere in Europe.
• DHL Express for express delivery to the UK, Switzerland and Norway, and for every delivery outside Europe: your parcel flies, and DHL clears customs itself, the fastest and most reliable way through a border.

Rates and delivery times by destination

Times are business days after dispatch (Monday to Friday, except public holidays), typical rather than guaranteed: remote areas and customs inspections can add a little time. Checkout shows the expected delivery dates for your address before you pay.

Free shipping

Standard shipping is free from $150 in Germany, $300 in the rest of the EU, $500 to the UK, Switzerland and Norway, $1,500 to the US and Canada, $2,000 to Asia and the Middle East and $2,500 to Australia and New Zealand. Express is always charged, except where DHL Express is the only option.

Large and bulky items

• Large boxes (PC cases, monitors, desktop and workstation PCs, wheel bases, sim racing bundles and custom loop kits) cost the same as any parcel within the EU. Elsewhere, carriers charge by size and weight, so each one adds $14.90 to the UK, Switzerland and Norway, $49.90 to the US and Canada, $69.90 to Asia and the Middle East and $79.90 to Australia and New Zealand. Small models, such as Mini-ITX cases and mini PCs, travel as normal parcels.
• Furniture-size items (gaming chairs and desks, sim racing cockpits and seats) are too heavy and bulky for parcel networks and for air express. They travel with TNT Economy Express, within Europe only, for a freight fee per item of $29.90 in Germany, $49.90 to neighbouring EU countries, $69.90 to the rest of the EU and $99.90 to the UK, Switzerland and Norway. Express is not available for them.

These fees apply even when standard shipping is free. Checkout shows the exact amount before you pay.

United Kingdom: orders from $200

UK rules require the seller to charge UK VAT at checkout on goods worth £135 or less sent to UK consumers. To keep import VAT handled in the usual way, at the border and through the carrier, orders delivered to the United Kingdom start at $200.

When your order ships

• In-stock items ship within 1–2 business days after your payment is confirmed. A payment confirmed after the afternoon pick-up (14:00, German time) counts from the next business day.
• Backorder and pre-order items show their expected date on the product page.
• Mixed orders ship together when everything is available, unless you ask us to send the available items first.

Until your order ships, you can change or cancel it free of charge by emailing support@hodlchip.com with your order number.

Discreet, unbranded packaging

Parcels leave in plain outer packaging, with no crypto references and no brand logos on the box, so nothing on the outside advertises high-value components.

When a parcel leaves the EU, carriers and customs authorities require a customs declaration describing its contents and their value. That declaration travels with the parcel, as the law requires.

Customs, duties and taxes

• Within the EU, a parcel from Germany does not go through customs: there is nothing to pay on delivery.
• Everywhere else, import duties and taxes such as VAT, GST or sales tax are not included in our prices. Where they apply, the carrier collects them, usually with its own clearance fee, before or on delivery.

Tracking your parcel

When your parcel ships, we email you the carrier's tracking link. You can also follow it at Track order with your order number and email address.

Receiving your parcel

• If you gave a phone number at checkout, it is passed to the carrier only, to help with delivery.
• Inspect the parcel and its contents on arrival, and keep the original packaging until you have checked everything.
• If an item is dead on arrival or damaged in transit, report it within 14 days with photos of the item and the packaging. We replace it or refund it in full, and return shipping is on us.

Where we deliver

We deliver to the 47 countries in the table above, and checkout only offers those. We do not ship to other countries yet, and never to sanctioned destinations.
