Why crypto
Why HodlChip Only Accepts Crypto (BTC, ETH, USDT)
We accept Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT, and nothing else. Here is why we built the store this way, and what it means for you at checkout.
Why we only accept crypto
Less personal data to hand over
Our checkout never asks for card numbers or bank details, because we do not take them. To deliver an order we need an email address and a shipping address, and that is all we ask for. Data we never collect cannot leak.
One checkout for customers everywhere
Every price is set in US dollars, and the same four payment options are available wherever we deliver. You see the same price as every other customer, converted at a live rate when you pay.
Payments you can verify
Every payment is a public transaction. You can look it up on a block explorer with its transaction ID and see it reach the address on your payment page, while the payment page itself updates as soon as it confirms.
A focused set of options
We accept four well-established combinations: BTC on Bitcoin, ETH on Ethereum mainnet, and USDT on TRON (TRC20) or on Ethereum mainnet (ERC20). A short list leaves fewer ways to send on the wrong network.
What it means for you
| Topic | How it works at HodlChip |
|---|---|
| Price | Set in USD and converted into your chosen coin at a live rate when you pay. |
| Price moves | The exact crypto amount is held for the countdown on your payment page, typically up to 60 minutes for BTC and 30 minutes for ETH and USDT. |
| Fees | The network fee for sending the transaction is paid by you, the sender. Exchanges may also deduct a withdrawal fee. |
| Speed | Typical confirmation: 10–60 minutes for BTC, 1–5 minutes for ETH and USDT on ERC20, about 1 minute for USDT on TRC20. |
| Refunds | Paid in the same coin and on the same network, for the USD amount due, converted at the rate on the day of the refund. |
| Security | A fresh deposit address for every order, shown only on payment pages at hodlchip.com. |
Crypto payments are final, so our policies are written down
A crypto transaction cannot be reversed by a bank or a card issuer. That is why we publish exactly what happens if something goes wrong: free cancellation until your order ships, 30-day returns on unused items, replacement or refund for items that arrive dead or damaged, the full manufacturer warranty, and clear rules for underpayments and wrong networks. Your statutory consumer rights apply in full.
Which coin should you use?
- Bitcoin if you hold BTC and do not mind waiting 10–60 minutes for confirmation. See Buy with Bitcoin.
- Ethereum if you hold ETH on Ethereum mainnet. See Buy with Ethereum.
- USDT if you prefer an amount that stays stable in dollars: TRC20 confirms in about a minute, and ERC20 suits USDT held on Ethereum. See Buy with USDT.
New to crypto?
You can buy BTC, ETH or USDT on a reputable exchange in your country, then pay from the exchange or from a wallet you control. If you pay straight from an exchange, withdraw on the network you selected and make sure the full amount shown arrives after fees. Our guide to buying PC hardware with Bitcoin walks you through it, and How crypto payment works covers the checkout itself.
