Buying sensor & case displays at HodlChip
A sensor display shows what your PC is doing without opening an app: temperatures, clock speeds, load and fan speeds, or simply a picture or animation. Types to compare:
- Universal screens, around 7 to 9 inches, mount inside the case or stand on the desk.
- Case-specific kits replace a panel or divider in a supported case, such as Lian Li's divider screen for the O11 Vision M or Phanteks' LED matrix kit for its XT View and Eclipse G400A.
- Mini desktop displays sit beside your keyboard, and analog dials such as the Streacom VU1 show load on needle gauges.
Check how each display connects: most use USB and the maker's software, which reads your hardware sensors and usually runs on Windows only; models that work as a small extra monitor take a video output from your graphics card. Check the screen size against the space in your case, and the cable route to a free header or port.
Prefer a display built in? Use the Built-in display filter in PC cases, or the Pump display filter in AIO liquid coolers.
