Buying pc build services at HodlChip

These services are added to an order that contains the parts or the PC they apply to:

  • Express build: priority assembly, so a custom PC is ready to ship within 4 to 5 working days.
  • Premium cable management: extra care routing and tying every cable, for a clean interior behind a glass panel.
  • Inverted case assembly: the build is set up in the case's inverted layout.
  • BIOS / UEFI update: the motherboard is updated to the current firmware before it ships, for compatibility with the newest processors and memory.
  • Custom laser engraving: twelve engravings for names, logos or labels, agreed by email after ordering.
  • Data recovery plan: a two-year plan for recovering data from a drive, for Windows and Mac.

Questions about pc build services

Can I order a service on its own?
Most services apply to parts or a PC in the same order, such as an express build, cable management or a BIOS update. Add the service to the cart together with the parts it applies to.
Why update the BIOS before shipping?
Motherboards often leave the factory with older firmware. An update adds support for newer processors and memory and fixes known issues, so the board works with the latest components from the first boot.
How is the custom engraving agreed?
After you order, we confirm by email the text or design of each engraving and where it goes, before the work starts.
