Buying sim racing apparel at HodlChip

Gloves are the most useful clothing upgrade for sim racing:

  • Grip: silicone palms hold suede, microfiber and leather rims without squeezing, which reduces fatigue in long races.
  • Rim care: gloves keep sweat and skin oils off the rim, which helps suede and microfiber grips last longer.
  • Touchscreens: touch-capable fingertips let you use a dash or tablet without taking the gloves off.
  • Fit: sim gloves should fit snugly, without loose fabric at the fingertips. Measure your hand circumference and compare it with the size chart.

Sim racing shirts and jerseys complete the look for streams, events and league nights; the product page lists the material and cut. Each size is listed as its own product: use the Type and Size filters to find yours. Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days. For team jerseys and casual wear, see gaming apparel, and for the rest of your setup, see sim racing accessories.

Questions about sim racing apparel

Do I need gloves for sim racing?
They are not required, but they improve grip, keep sweat off the rim and make long sessions more comfortable, which also helps suede and microfiber rims last longer.
How do I choose my glove size?
Measure the circumference of your hand around the palm, just below the knuckles and without the thumb, and compare it with the size chart on the product page. Sim racing gloves should fit snugly.
Can I wash sim racing gloves?
Follow the care label. Most can be hand-washed in lukewarm water with mild soap and dried flat away from heat, which keeps the silicone grip intact.
