Buying pc cases at HodlChip

Start with your motherboard size, then check the clearances behind most build problems:

  • GPU length: compare your graphics card with the case's maximum GPU length, minus any front radiator and fans.
  • CPU cooler height: tower coolers need width; slim and SFF cases often limit you to low-profile coolers or an AIO.
  • Radiators and fans: check which sizes fit at the top, front and side, and how many fans are included.
  • Power supply: most cases take ATX units; many small form factor cases need SFX or SFX-L.

For cooling, a mesh front panel generally breathes better than solid glass or wood. Panoramic glass cases look striking but rely on side or bottom intake fans. For a cable-free look, check support for rear-connector motherboards, which need matching cut-outs in the motherboard tray.

Practical details matter too: removable dust filters, tool-free panels and room for cables behind the tray. Finish the build with case fans and case accessories. The PC Builder checks GPU length, cooler height, board size and PSU format for you.

Questions about pc cases

Will my graphics card fit in this case?
Compare the card length on its product page with the maximum GPU length of the case. Fans or a radiator mounted at the front reduce that space, and thick cards also need enough expansion slots and width.
What is a rear-connector motherboard case?
Some motherboards place their power and data connectors on the back of the board, so cables disappear behind the tray. They need a case with matching cut-outs; check the case specifications before choosing such a board.
Do cases come with fans?
Many do, from a single rear exhaust to a full set of intake and exhaust fans; the product page lists what is included. Cases sold without fans leave you free to choose size, color and lighting.
