Overview

The Alpenföhn Brocken 4 is a single-tower air cooler built for Intel and AMD platforms. Its asymmetric design clears tall RAM while six heat pipes and a 120mm PWM fan handle up to 220W TDP.

Design and Clearance

The single-tower heatsink uses an asymmetric fin stack to avoid interference with high-profile RAM. A matte black finish covers the aluminum fins, six 6mm heat pipes, and the nickel-plated copper baseplate. Overall dimensions with the fan installed are 127 mm wide, 119 mm tall, and 155 mm deep, weighing approximately 1,098 grams.

Cooling Performance

Six heat pipes transfer heat from the copper base into the aluminum fin array. The included JetStream 120mm PWM fan spins between 400 and 1,600 RPM, delivering up to 94 m³/h of airflow while peaking at 22.8 dB(A). The cooler is rated for a maximum thermal design power of 220 watts.

Socket Compatibility

Mounting hardware supports Intel sockets LGA1700, LGA1200, LGA115x (1150, 1151, 1155, 1156), and LGA20xx (2011, 2011-v3, 2066). AMD support covers AM4 and AM5 platforms. The asymmetric layout ensures compatibility regardless of memory heat spreader height.

Included Accessories

The package contains the heatsink with pre-installed JetStream 120mm PWM fan, thermal paste, mounting brackets for all listed sockets, and four fan clips for adding a second 120mm fan in push-pull configuration.
