Overview

A chrome-finished brass temperature sensor that threads into any G1/4 port to monitor coolant temperature in custom water cooling loops. Suitable for builders who want precise fan or pump control based on liquid temperature.

Design and Installation

The sensor screws directly into any G1/4 inch port, sealing the opening like a stop plug. Its chrome-plated brass body is fully encapsulated to prevent corrosion. The external thread adapter can be removed if needed. A 50 cm cable with a standard 2-pin connector provides flexible routing inside the case.

Performance and Use

Measuring coolant temperature gives the most accurate view of loop performance. This data allows compatible controllers to adjust pump speed and fan curves based on actual liquid temperature rather than CPU package readings. The sensor is passive and requires no power of its own.

Compatibility

The 2-pin connector follows the common industry standard. Supported devices include Aquaero 3.07 and 4.00, Aquastream XT Ultra, Aquaduct XT models with external sensor inputs, Alphacool Heatmaster, Innovatek Fan-O-Matic, Lian Li Multipanel, Scythe Kaze, T-Balancer, and temperature sensor headers found on many motherboards.
