Overview

A Micro-ATX motherboard built on the Intel B660 chipset for 12th Gen Intel Core processors. It supports up to 128GB of DDR4 memory and offers multiple M.2 slots, 2.5G Ethernet, and comprehensive cooling controls.

Power Design and Cooling

The board uses a ProCool 8-pin power connector with solid pins for stable current delivery to the CPU. VRM heatsinks with thermal pads and a captive-screw M.2 heatsink keep temperatures down during sustained loads. Five hybrid fan headers and a dedicated AIO pump header are managed through Fan Xpert 2+ or the UEFI BIOS.

Memory and Storage

Four DDR4 DIMM slots support up to 128GB with ASUS OptiMem trace routing for improved signal integrity and overclocking headroom to 5066 MT/s. Three M.2 slots provide PCIe 4.0 connectivity, two at x4 and one at x2, alongside four SATA 6Gbps ports for additional drives.

Connectivity and Expansion

Rear I/O includes one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A, one USB 2.0 Type-A, HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA and a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet jack. Internal headers add one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, two USB 2.0 headers, two 12V RGB and three 5V addressable RGB connectors. Expansion slots consist of one PCIe 4.0 x16, one PCIe 3.0 x16 and two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots.

BIOS and Software Features

The UEFI BIOS offers EZ mode for guided setup and Advanced mode with search for detailed tuning. AI Overclocking, Digi+ VRM control, EPU power saving and Aura on/off switching are accessible through the BIOS or Windows utilities. Fan Xpert 2+ provides auto-tuning, GPU temperature mapping and an Extreme Quiet mode.
