Overview

A Micro-ATX motherboard built on the Intel Z790 chipset for Socket 1700 processors. It supports DDR5 memory and offers extensive connectivity for compact high-performance builds.

Power and Thermal Design

The board uses a Digi+ VRM with large heatsinks and thermal pads to cool MOSFETs and chokes. Six hybrid fan headers and an AIO pump header are controlled through Fan Xpert 4 or UEFI, with AI Cooling II for automatic acoustic tuning.

Memory and Storage

Four DDR5 slots accept up to 128 GB. AEMP II firmware optimizes PMIC-restricted kits while OptiMem II trace routing reduces crosstalk for better stability. Three PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots and four SATA 6G ports provide ample storage options.

Expansion and Rear I/O

A PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot handle graphics and add-in cards alongside two PCIe 4.0 x1 slots. Rear I/O includes 1 Gb LAN, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, plus HDMI, DisplayPort, and Thunderbolt 4 for integrated graphics.
