Overview

This internal 2.5-inch enclosure lets you install M.2 SATA SSDs up to 2280 into a standard drive bay. It connects via SATA 6Gbps and requires no drivers.

Design and Build

The enclosure measures 100 by 70 by 7 millimeters and weighs 48 grams without a drive. An aluminum shell acts as a heatsink while a steel frame adds rigidity. The silver finish matches typical drive bay aesthetics.

Performance and Compatibility

A native SATA 6Gbps connection delivers up to 600 MB/s throughput and is backward compatible with SATA 3Gbps and 1.5Gbps controllers. The NGFF B-key slot accepts B-key and B+M-key SATA AHCI modules from 2230 to 2280 lengths with no capacity limit.

Features

TRIM support helps maintain SSD speed over time. The adapter is fully plug-and-play with no driver installation required. It draws power from a standard 15-pin SATA connector and enables booting from the installed M.2 drive.

What Is Included

The package contains the internal 2.5-inch SATA enclosure, mounting screws, a screwdriver, and a printed manual in twelve languages. Everything is packed in a labeled cardboard box.
