Design and Build

The cable integrates an active converter into a compact 45 x 21 x 12 mm housing. A DisplayPort male connector with a latch button secures the source connection, while a standard HDMI Type A male plug connects the display. Gold plating on both connectors resists oxidation. The total length is 1.8 meters and the unit weighs 70 grams.

Performance and Compatibility

The adapter handles resolutions up to DCI 4K at 30Hz and UWQHD at 60Hz. It supports 1080p refresh rates up to 120Hz. DDC and HPD protocols enable automatic configuration and hot-plug detection. HDCP 1.4 and 2.2 compliance allows protected content playback. The hardware-based conversion requires no drivers on Windows, macOS, or Linux.
