Overview

An active Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter that delivers 4K video and audio at 30 Hz. Ideal for connecting laptops or PCs to HDMI displays.

Design and Build

The adapter measures 15 cm end to end and weighs 17 grams. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion. The black PVC jacket is not sleeved. Connectors are straight, not angled.

Performance and Use

Based on DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 1.4 standards, the active chipset converts the signal for resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 at 30 Hz. Audio passes through alongside video. The connection works in one direction only, from a Mini DisplayPort source to an HDMI sink.

Compatibility and Setup

No software or driver installation is needed. Plug the Mini DisplayPort end into the computer and an HDMI cable into the Type A socket. Works with monitors, TVs, and projectors that accept HDMI input.

What Is Included

Package contains the AXAGON RVDM-HI14N adapter only. An HDMI cable is required separately to complete the link to the display.
