Overview

A magnetic dust filter designed for 120mm fan intakes. It uses a dense polyester mesh to trap dust while maintaining airflow, and includes an adhesive frame for cases without magnetic mounting points.

Design and Mounting

The filter frame measures 128mm square with a 105mm square filter area. It attaches magnetically to steel case panels from the outside. An adhesive-backed mounting frame is included for aluminum or non-magnetic surfaces, requiring no screws or case modifications.

Filtration Performance

The polyester mesh is woven tightly enough for use in clinical clean rooms. It captures dust effectively while restricting airflow only slightly. Positive case pressure is recommended to prevent unfiltered air from entering through gaps.

Maintenance

The magnetic hold allows quick removal for cleaning. Dust can be brushed off, shaken out, rinsed with water, or scraped away if heavily soiled. Regular cleaning restores full airflow performance.

Compatibility Notes

Install on intake fans only, typically at the front, side, or bottom of the case. Identify intake direction by arrows on the fan frame or rotor orientation. The mounting surface should be flat without protrusions for secure adhesion.
