Overview

This aluminum frame replaces the stock ILM to let you mount a cooler directly on a delidded 9th Gen Intel CPU. It protects the die and improves thermal transfer for extreme overclocking.

Direct Die Mounting

The frame removes the integrated heat spreader from the thermal path. It allows a CPU cooler to contact the silicon die directly, lowering temperatures for extreme overclocking.

Die Protection

The frame edge sits approximately 0.1 mm below the die surface. This prevents cooler tilt from damaging the exposed silicon or components during installation.

Construction

Machined from premium aluminum with a black anodized finish. The coating electrically insulates the frame so it can rest safely on the CPU substrate contacts.

Installation

The stock retention module is removed and the frame secures to the motherboard backplate using original screws. A Torx key is included for assembly.
