Performance and Use

Removing the integrated heat spreader eliminates the thermal bottleneck created by factory thermal paste. This allows direct die cooling or application of high-conductivity compounds such as liquid metal, typically reducing temperatures by 10°C to 20°C even at stock speeds.

The Delid-Die-Mate X supports Intel Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X CPU families. The processor is placed in the indexed receiver, the slider is inserted, and the Allen key is turned slowly to complete the delidding process reliably.
