Overview

This aluminum bracket replaces the stock AM4 retention frame to let users shift AIO cold plates over the Ryzen 3000 chiplet hot spot. It targets enthusiasts chasing lower core temperatures.

Design and Compatibility

The bracket swaps out the factory AM4 retention frame and works with any AIO that uses the AMD Socket AM4 Retention Mounting Bracket. It fits Ryzen 3000 CPUs on AM4 motherboards, primarily ATX and E-ATX X570 models. Mini-ITX boards often block installation due to nearby components.

Performance Benefit

Ryzen 3000 chiplet layouts move the thermal hot spot toward the heatspreader edge. Shifting the cold plate to cover that area can reduce temperatures by up to 7°C depending on the processor and cooler used.

Tested Motherboards

Over 30 X570 boards from ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, and MSI are confirmed compatible. Additional models such as the ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero WiFi and MSI MEG X570 ACE work with user modifications described in the installation video.

Installation Notes

Only use AIOs equipped with the AMD Socket AM4 Retention Mounting Bracket. Some boards require bracket modification; the linked video provides detailed assembly instructions. Temperature results vary by CPU and cooler combination.
