Overview

A passive aluminum heatsink designed for 2280 M.2 NVMe SSDs. It prevents thermal throttling in systems with adequate airflow and supports both single and double-sided drives.

Design and Materials

The heatsink is CNC-machined from high-grade aluminum with a satin silver anodized finish. A black anodized aluminum backplate is included. The compact, low-profile design avoids interference with nearby motherboard components.

Installation Flexibility

Flipping the backplate realigns its mounting holes to a second set on the heatsink body. This increases the gap between the backplate and main body, providing clearance for chips on double-sided SSDs.

Compatibility Details

Supports all 2280 M.2 NVMe SSDs (22mm wide, 80mm long) using standard 4.2mm height connectors. Tested compatible with drive capacities up to 4TB for both single-sided and double-sided PCB layouts.
