Overview

This monoblock water cooler is engineered specifically for the Gigabyte AORUS Z490 Xtreme motherboard. It cools the CPU, power delivery, and LAN controller while adding addressable RGB lighting.

Targeted Cooling Coverage

The block directly cools the Intel LGA 1200 processor socket, voltage regulator modules, chokes, and the onboard 10G LAN controller. Liquid flows over all critical zones to support high, stable overclocks. An enclosed thermal pad improves VRM stability and motherboard lifespan.

Magnitude Cooling Engine

This is the first Momentum monoblock to use the EK Magnitude CPU cooling engine. The cold plate uses pure nickel-plated electrolytic copper machined into a dense micro-fin structure for low restriction and high thermal performance. It works well with delidded CPUs but does not support direct-die cooling.

Addressable D-RGB Lighting

A pre-installed 3-pin 5V addressable LED strip connects to the motherboard D_LED header or compatible D-RGB controllers. The arrow on the connector aligns with the +5V pin. Lighting synchronizes with Gigabyte RGB Fusion 2.0 software for full customization.

Construction and Connections

The top combines CNC-machined cast acrylic, nickel-plated brass, and anodized black aluminum. The CPU portion latches onto nickel-plated push-in barb fittings on the VRM block. Two standard G1/4 inch threads accept common fittings. Thermal Grizzly Hydronaut grease is included for the CPU.
