Overview

A nickel-plated aluminum backplate designed for EK Vector² Trio water blocks on MSI RTX 3080 and 3090 graphics cards. It covers the full PCB and adds passive cooling for the VRM and GPU core.

Design and Materials

The backplate is CNC machined from aluminum with a nickel plating for a silver and gray finish. It spans the entire length of the graphics card PCB to provide rigid structural support.

Thermal Function

Beyond aesthetics, the plate acts as a passive heatsink for the backside of the voltage regulation module and the GPU core, helping to dissipate heat from critical components.

Compatibility

This backplate mounts specifically to EK-Quantum Vector² Trio RTX 3080/90 water blocks. It supports MSI Gaming X Trio, Suprim X, and Trio series cards across the RTX 3080, 3080 Ti, and 3090 lineup.
