The Kingston NV3 is a 500 GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD built for everyday computing and gaming. It delivers fast sequential speeds with low power draw and a 160 TBW endurance rating.

Design and Build

The drive uses a single-sided M.2 2280 layout measuring 22 x 2.3 x 80 mm and weighs 7 grams. Its blue PCB fits standard motherboard and laptop slots without blocking adjacent components.

Performance

Sequential reads reach 5,000 MB/s and writes reach 3,000 MB/s over the PCIe 4.0 x4 bus. The 3D TLC NAND and DRAM-less controller keep power consumption low while maintaining responsive access times.

Reliability

Endurance is rated at 160 terabytes written with a mean time between failures of 2 million hours. The drive withstands up to 10 G of shock during operation and functions across a 0 to 70 °C temperature range.

Connectivity and Compatibility

The NVMe 1.3 protocol runs over an M.2 key-M connector with PCIe 4.0 x4 lanes. It is backward compatible with PCIe 3.0 systems and works with Windows, Linux, and macOS without extra drivers.
