This upgrade kit adds a second NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM fan to the NH-U12S redux CPU cooler for a push-pull configuration. It improves thermal performance or reduces noise through lower fan speeds.

Push-Pull Performance Gains

Adding a second fan to the NH-U12S redux creates a push-pull arrangement that lowers CPU temperatures by roughly 1 to 3 degrees Celsius. The benefit increases with higher heat loads, making this kit useful for high-end processors, sustained turbo workloads, or overclocking.

Acoustic Optimization

Running two fans at reduced speeds cuts noise while keeping the same cooling capacity. Automatic PWM control via the included y-cable or the two low-noise adapters lets the cooler operate more quietly under typical loads.

Matched Fan Specifications

The supplied NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM fan is identical to the one pre-installed on the NH-U12S redux. It spins between 450 and 1700 RPM, delivers up to 120.2 m³/h airflow, and produces a maximum of 25.1 dB(A) noise.

Complete Installation Kit

The package contains the fan, a 4-pin PWM y-cable, two low-noise adapters, fan mounting clips, and anti-vibration pads. All components are provided to attach the second fan securely and connect it to the motherboard header.
