Overview

A 140 mm PWM fan with a 150 mm square frame and 120 mm mounting holes. Designed for high-end CPU coolers and case upgrades where low noise matters.

Design and Mounting

The fan uses a 150 mm square AAO frame with integrated vibration dampers and a stepped inlet. It fits 120 mm mounting patterns with 105 mm hole spacing. Extra-soft silicone anti-vibration pads are included for standard screws and cooler clips.

Performance and Acoustics

Flow Acceleration Channels on the impeller reduce suction-side flow separation. This raises efficiency and cuts turbulence noise. The low-noise adapter lowers the minimum speed for quieter operation down to 9.1 dB(A) as noted by the manufacturer.

Motor and Control

A custom NE-FD1 PWM IC runs Noctua's Smooth Commutation Drive technology to minimize switching noise at low speeds. The second-generation SSO2 bearing moves the rear magnet closer to the axis for better stability and durability. Power draw is 0.96 W at 12 V.
