Overview

The Phanteks EX5 is a mid-tower case that isolates the motherboard, graphics card, and power supply into separate chambers for direct airflow. It fits ATX builds with large GPUs and 360mm liquid coolers.

Chambered Layout and Airflow

The case divides the motherboard, graphics card, and power supply into three distinct compartments. This design feeds fresh air directly to each component through mesh panels, reducing heat mixing. The intended cooling setup requires only four 120 mm fans total.

Graphics Card and Radiator Support

The dedicated GPU chamber accommodates 3.5-slot cards up to 358 mm in length and includes two brackets to prevent sag. A side mount accepts a 360 mm radiator with three 120 mm fans for CPU liquid cooling.

Cable Management and Lighting

Cables and AIO tubes route behind the motherboard tray and inside the PSU chamber to keep the main interior clean. Two integrated ARGB light strips provide illumination, visible through the tempered glass GPU window.

Storage and Front I/O

The lower PSU chamber fits an ATX power supply up to 210 mm deep, plus one 2.5-inch SSD and one 3.5-inch hard drive. Front I/O includes one USB-C 3.2 port, two USB-A 3.0 ports, and a combo audio jack.
