Overview

This Silverstone adapter adds a single internal USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 port to a desktop PC using a PCIe 3.0 x2 slot. It includes a low-profile bracket for small form factor cases.

Design and Installation

The card fits a standard PCIe x4 or larger slot and uses two PCIe 3.0 lanes. A low-profile bracket is included for installation in slim chassis. The board is black with a single internal USB-C header.

Performance and Compatibility

The adapter delivers USB 3.1 Gen 2 speeds up to 10 Gbps. It supports USB 3.0, 2.0, and 1.1 devices connected to the internal port. Two PCIe 3.0 lanes provide sufficient throughput for the controller.

Power and Connectivity

A SATA power plug on the card supplies power to the USB port. No external cables or sleeved wiring are included. The connector is not angled.
