Overview

The WireView GPU is an inline power meter for graphics cards using two 8-pin PCIe connectors in reverse orientation. It shows live consumption on an OLED screen and stores logs for later review.

Design and Build

The adapter uses a U-shaped aluminum housing measuring 47 by 43 by 22 millimeters. Its form factor routes cables cleanly while keeping the OLED screen visible. Connector clips face toward the PCB, matching the reverse orientation found on cards such as certain ASUS models.

Measurement and Logging

Live power draw appears on the integrated OLED panel without any background software. The device also writes readings to onboard memory, letting you review average consumption or spot power spikes after extended sessions. Stored data can be cleared while the system runs.

Use Cases

Overclockers and reviewers can watch instantaneous changes when tuning voltage or frequency curves in tools like MSI Afterburner. The hardware-only approach ensures benchmark scores stay clean, and the logged history helps estimate electricity costs or compare different GPUs.

Connectivity and Package Contents

Two 8-pin PCIe plugs on the input side connect to the power supply, while two matching receptacles on the output side feed the graphics card. A 4-pin header is provided for data access. The unit ships in black with white accents.
