Overview

A monitoring adapter for graphics cards with 12V-2x6 connectors that measures per-pin current, voltage, temperature, and power. It includes a display, audible alarms, automatic shutdown support, and long-term data logging.

Design and Cooling

The CNC-milled aluminum housing acts as a heatsink with ventilation openings. A semi-passive fan stays silent at idle and spins up automatically as power or temperature increases. Rear PCB openings guide airflow across heat-relevant components.

Monitoring and Alerts

Current is measured on each conductor of the 12V-2x6 connector, enabling early detection of contact issues. When user-configurable limits for current, voltage, temperature, or power are exceeded, the display shows a warning and an audible alarm sounds. An included splitter cable can trigger an automatic system shutdown.

Data Logging

Internal memory records per-pin 12V currents, total power, and connector temperature every 60 seconds. Capacity covers roughly 340 days of continuous full load or three to four years of typical use before oldest entries are overwritten. Logs assist fault analysis and community connector research.

Compatibility and Included Items

Available in two connector orientations; this reversed version suits downward-facing ports and doubles as a 90-degree adapter. The device operates standalone via the onboard display and configuration menu. Companion software WireView2-SW-1.0.3 is available from the manufacturer for additional analysis.
