Overview

This copper water block cools M.2 2280 SSDs in a custom loop. It fits single and double-sided drives and features addressable RGB lighting.

Design and Materials

The cooler uses a full copper body instead of aluminum. Copper conducts heat nearly twice as efficiently. An acrylic top cover provides a clear view of the internal lighting.

Thermal Performance

Active water cooling prevents the controller from throttling during sustained reads and writes. Testing shows uncooled drives can throttle within 30 seconds under write loads.

Compatibility and Installation

The kit fits M.2 2280 drives with components on one or both sides. Use 0.5 mm pads for populated sides and the 1.5 mm pad for the empty side of single-sided drives. The SSD clips into the holder before mounting to the motherboard.

Lighting and Connectivity

Three 5V addressable RGB LEDs connect via a JST 3-pin header. The cooler requires a compatible motherboard header or controller. A pass-through connector allows daisy-chaining additional devices.
