Overview

This USB 3.0 to SATA adapter connects 2.5-inch, 3.5-inch, and 5.25-inch drives to a computer. A 12V power supply is included for desktop drives and optical devices.

Broad Drive Compatibility

The adapter accepts any SATA hard drive, SSD, or optical drive regardless of form factor or capacity. It operates with SATA 6G, 3G, and 1.5G devices without limiting maximum storage size.

Flexible Power Options

A 2.5-inch drive draws sufficient power from the USB 3.0 port alone. For 3.5-inch hard drives and 5.25-inch optical drives, the included 12V 2A external power adapter connects via a 150 cm cable.

Plug-and-Play Operation

No driver installation is required on Windows, macOS, or Linux; the OS handles it automatically. Hot-plug support allows drive swaps without rebooting, and a blue LED shows power and activity status.

Drive Protection Features

The adapter reads SMART health data from connected disks. It spins down drives after 15 minutes of inactivity and powers them off when the host sleeps or the device is ejected.
