Overview

A 6mm tall passive aluminum heatsink designed for 2280 M.2 NVMe SSDs. It includes thermal pads for both single and double-sided modules to reduce operating temperatures and prevent thermal throttling.

Design and Build

The heatsink uses a black anodized aluminum body with a ribbed fin structure to maximize surface area. At 6mm high, it maintains a low profile suitable for tight spaces between expansion cards or under motherboard shields.

Thermal Performance

Testing shows the cooler can reduce SSD temperatures by up to 20 degrees Celsius. This keeps sustained write speeds stable and extends the lifespan of the NAND flash and controller.

Installation and Compatibility

Two thermal pads of different thicknesses are included to accommodate both single-sided and double-sided M.2 2280 drives. The unit mounts directly onto the drive and fits standard motherboard M.2 slots as well as AXAGON adapters.
