Overview

A ribbed aluminum enclosure for 2.5 inch SATA SSDs or HDDs up to 9.5mm thick. Connects via USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 for speeds up to 10Gbps.

Design and Cooling

The ribbed aluminum housing dissipates heat from the drive while resisting fingerprints. An internal frame secures the drive, and rubber feet keep the unit stable on a desk. A white LED shows power and activity status.

Performance and Compatibility

The USB 3.2 Gen 2 connection delivers up to 10Gbps bandwidth, removing bottlenecks for SATA III drives. UASP protocol accelerates transfers on Windows 8 and later. TRIM support maintains SSD write speeds over time. The enclosure is backward compatible with USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 2.0.

Drive Management Features

S.M.A.R.T. data passthrough allows health monitoring of the installed drive. Auto spindown powers down the disk after 10 minutes of inactivity. Hot-plug and plug-and-play support enable drive swaps without rebooting. The unit supports booting from an external SSD.

Connectivity and Contents

A reversible USB-C female port accepts the included 60cm USB-C to USB-A cable. A USB-A to USB-C adapter is also provided for legacy ports. The package includes mounting screws, a screwdriver, extra adhesive rubber pads, and a multilingual quick guide.
