Overview

This extension kit adapts power supplies with universal connectors to the 12VHPWR standard required by modern graphics cards. It includes motherboard power cables and cable management accessories for a clean build.

Design and Materials

The kit features black and white ModMesh sleeving that resists fraying and holds shape well. Several cables ship with closed hybrid combs already installed, while additional combs and a shroud are supplied separately for custom routing.

Performance and Use

The 12VHPWR adapter uses 16AWG conductors to handle the power draw of PCIe 5.0 graphics cards. All three 8-pin plugs must be seated in the power supply for correct operation. A 35 mm bend radius from the GPU connector is recommended.

Connectivity

The main adapter converts a 16-pin 12VHPWR socket into three 8-pin PCIe plugs for the PSU side. Motherboard cables include a 24-pin ATX, an 8-pin EPS, and a 4+4-pin EPS, each terminating in standard sockets for the board.

Included Accessories

One cable shroud, two 8-pin hybrid combs, and two 4-pin hybrid combs are bundled. These parts help align cables neatly behind the motherboard tray or along the PSU shroud.
