The drive uses a slim M.2 2280 form factor with a graphene aluminum heat spreader only 2.21 mm tall. This low profile fits tight laptop bays and desktop motherboards. An optional version adds an integrated aluminum heatsink for extra thermal dispersion in the PS5 console.

Performance

A Gen 4x4 NVMe controller and 3D TLC NAND deliver sequential reads up to 7,300 MB/s and writes up to 3,900 MB/s. The drive sustains high IOPS for consistent responsiveness during gaming, streaming, and large file transfers.
