Overview

Noctua NT-H2 is a hybrid thermal compound for CPU and GPU cooling. The AM5 Edition includes a paste guard to keep AMD AM5 heatspreader cut-outs clean.

Performance and Formula

NT-H2 uses a refined metal oxide micro-particle mixture that lowers thermal resistance and bond-line thickness under typical mounting pressure. It outperforms the original NT-H1 in most scenarios and works with air or liquid cooling setups.

AM5 Paste Guard

The included NA-TPG1 thermal paste guard fits AMD AM5 processors. It blocks excess compound from filling the heatspreader cut-outs during installation, making cleanup simpler and protecting the socket area.

Application and Cleanup

The compound spreads evenly under cooler pressure without manual spreading. Three large isopropyl alcohol wipes are provided to remove old paste from the CPU and cooler base quickly.

Safety and Longevity

NT-H2 is non-conductive and non-corroding, safe for any copper, aluminum, or nickel-plated cooler. It stores for three years at room temperature and remains effective on the CPU for five years or more without curing or dry-out issues.
