Design and Build

The drive uses a single-sided M.2 2280 PCB measuring 22.2 mm wide, 80.2 mm long, and 2.4 mm thick. It weighs 9 grams and ships without a heatsink. The black PCB houses Samsung 3D TLC NAND and the Piccolo controller.

Performance

Sequential speeds reach 7,150 MB/s read and 6,300 MB/s write using SLC cache. The PCIe 4.0 x4 interface delivers full bandwidth on current platforms, while PCIe 5.0 x2 support adds forward compatibility. Endurance is rated at 600 TBW.

Power Efficiency

Active power draw is 5.5 W, idle drops to 0.06 W, and standby is 0.005 W. Low idle and standby consumption help extend battery life in laptops and reduce heat in desktops.
