Overview

A dynamic cardioid microphone built for podcasters and streamers. It offers dual XLR and USB-C connectivity, onboard DSP, and a desktop stand in the box.

Design and Build

The all-black metal body weighs 573 grams and measures 53.6 mm deep by 66 mm in diameter. A detachable yoke mount with a standard 5/8-inch thread attaches to the included desktop stand or most boom arms. An integrated shock mount reduces handling vibration.

Connectivity and Compatibility

Use the XLR output for traditional analog chains or the USB-C port for direct digital connection to Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices. Both outputs can operate simultaneously. A 3-meter USB-C to USB-C cable is supplied.

Onboard Controls and DSP

An LED touch panel provides mute, gain, headphone volume, and mode selection. The ShurePlus MOTIV app adds EQ, compression, reverb, and detailed auto-level tuning. Real-time denoising and a digital pop filter process the signal before it leaves the microphone.

Audio Performance

The cardioid dynamic capsule captures 50 Hz to 16 kHz with a maximum SPL of 128 dB. USB mode delivers 16- or 24-bit depth at 44.1 or 48 kHz sample rates. Analog sensitivity is -55 dBV/Pa at 350 ohms impedance.
