Overview

A full-cover water block built for the ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090. It uses dual nickel-plated copper coldplates and 0.2 mm microfins to cool the GPU, VRAM, and VRM.

Dual Coldplate Architecture

The block uses two separate copper coldplates screwed together. The smaller core plate sits directly on the GPU die with 0.2 mm microfins, while the larger plate covers VRAM and VRM components.

Core Coldplate Microstructure

The GPU coldplate features 0.2 mm wide slots and fins at 2.5 mm height, yielding a 13,440 mm² surface area. It is fully CNC-milled, precision blasted, and the GPU contact surface receives an additional CNC finish.

VRM and VRAM Coverage

The VRM/VRAM coldplate weighs over 900 g and is milled from copper with CNC-finished contact surfaces for memory and voltage regulators. All copper surfaces are nickel-plated for durability.

Lighting and Connections

Fourteen addressable RGB LEDs illuminate the hand-polished Schott BOROFLOAT glass window via a 3-pin 5V ARGB header. The included brass Direct Terminal provides one G1/4-inch inlet and outlet; a Through Terminal is available separately.
