Overview

A set of 50 black polyimide strips sized 10 by 60 millimeters. Designed to mask sensitive components when applying conductive thermal pastes like liquid metal.

Design and Materials

The Black Edition uses a 30µm polyimide film that is thinner and stronger than the standard 40µm version. Each sheet provides five adhesive strips cut to 10mm by 60mm. The material is electrically non-conductive and black in color.

Thermal and Electrical Performance

The film handles short term exposure up to 260°C and continuous operation at 180°C. Its breakdown voltage reaches 5kV, providing reliable insulation for components near conductive thermal interfaces.

Typical Use Cases

Apply the strips to mask surface mount devices on CPUs or GPUs before using Conductonaut liquid metal, Carbonaut pads, or KryoSheet. This prevents electrical shorts from stray conductive material.

Package Contents

The set includes 10 sheets for a total of 50 individual insulation strips. Thoroughly clean the target surface with isopropanol before placing each strip to ensure proper adhesion.
