The pad uses a silicone carrier loaded with aluminum oxide particles. It is gray in color and electrically non conductive. The material stays compliant so it fills uneven surfaces without high mounting force.

Performance and Use

Thermal conductivity matches typical thermal paste. The 1.5 mm thickness is chosen to match the gap between the chip and heatsink. It is suited for memory modules and voltage regulator components where paste application is difficult.
