Overview

A silicone-based thermal pad designed to bridge gaps between components and heatsinks where paste is impractical. Suitable for memory chips and voltage regulators.

Design and Material

The pad uses a silicone compound with a modeling clay consistency that conforms to uneven surfaces under low pressure. It measures 100 by 100 millimeters with a 3 millimeter thickness and a density of 3.38 grams per cubic centimeter. The material carries a rust brown color and a 65 Shore 00 hardness rating.

Performance and Use

Thermal conductivity is approximately 260 percent higher than the Minus Pad 8, making it effective for voltage regulators and memory ICs. Performance remains stable across thicknesses and requires minimal contact pressure. The pad is electrically insulating and rated for continuous operation between negative 100 and positive 250 degrees Celsius.

Installation Notes

A protective film covers the pad and must be removed prior to use. Due to the material's consistency, the manufacturer recommends a single installation only. Improper installation or misuse voids any liability for resulting damage.
