Overview

This ATX motherboard uses the Intel Z890 chipset and LGA 1851 socket for Core Ultra Series 2 processors. It suits content creators and gamers who need high-speed storage, extensive USB connectivity, and robust power delivery.

Design and Power Delivery

The board uses an 18+1+1+1+1 phase power design with enlarged VRM heatsinks. It includes a built-in I/O shield and requires two 8-pin CPU power connectors plus a 6-pin PCIe auxiliary connector. Eight 4-pin PWM headers support fans and pumps.

Memory and Storage

Four DDR5 DIMM slots handle up to 256 GB with XMP 3.0 profiles up to 9,066 MT/s. Storage options include one CPU-linked PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot, three PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, and four SATA 6 Gbps ports. M.2 heatsinks are provided.

Connectivity

Rear I/O offers two USB4 Type-C ports at 40 Gbps, two USB 3.1 Type-A at 10 Gbps, and ten USB 3.0 Type-A at 5 Gbps. Networking uses Wi-Fi 7 and a single 2.5 GbE LAN port. Video output includes HDMI. Audio uses Realtek ALC1220 with ALC4080 jacks and S/PDIF.
