Overview

This E-ATX motherboard pairs the AMD X870E chipset with the AM5 socket for Ryzen 9000 series CPUs. It targets enthusiasts who need extensive PCIe 5.0 connectivity and robust overclocking headroom.

Design and Power Delivery

The board uses a 20+2+2 phase VRM arrangement backed by large heatsinks to sustain high CPU clocks. An integrated I/O shield and a metal backplate add rigidity. Nine 4-pin PWM headers and dedicated M.2 heatsinks provide comprehensive cooling control.

Memory and Expansion

Four DIMM slots accept up to 256 GB of DDR5 memory with AMD EXPO profiles reaching 9000 MT/s. Expansion includes two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots and two PCIe 4.0 x16 slots running at x4. Five M.2 sockets and four SATA 6G ports handle storage.

Connectivity

Rear I/O supplies two USB4 Type-C ports at 40 Gbps, two USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C ports, and eight USB 3.1 Type-A ports. Networking features a 10 GbE port, a 5 GbE port, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. Internal headers add two USB 3.2 Type-C, four USB 3.2 Type-A, and four USB 2.0 ports.
