Overview

This Mini-ITX motherboard pairs the AMD X870 chipset with Socket AM5 for Ryzen 9000 series processors. It fits compact builds needing high-speed connectivity and strong power delivery.

Compact Design and Power Delivery

The 170 mm square Mini-ITX PCB uses a 13-phase VRM with Digi+ control to sustain high CPU clocks. Dual BIOS, CMOS reset button, and BIOS Flashback simplify recovery from bad settings. Black finish and onboard RGB headers match ROG aesthetics.

Memory and Storage Capacity

Two DDR5 DIMM slots accept up to 96 GB at 8600 MT/s when overclocked. One M.2 slot runs at PCIe 5.0 x4 from the CPU for 2280 drives. A second chipset M.2 slot supports PCIe 4.0 x4 for 2242, 2260, or 2280 lengths. Two SATA 6 Gbps ports remain for additional drives.

I/O and Networking

The rear panel provides two USB4 Type-C ports at 40 Gbps with DisplayPort alt mode, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, and HDMI 2.1. Networking includes Intel 2.5 GbE LAN and Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth via the included external antenna.

Included Accessories

The box contains the ROG Strix Hive II external controller with front-panel USB and audio jacks, two SATA cables, a USB 2.0 splitter, M.2 Q-Latch hardware, WiFi Q-Antenna, cable ties, ROG keychain, stickers, and a quick-start guide.
