Overview

An ATX motherboard built on the AMD B850 chipset for AM5 processors. It supports Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 series CPUs with PCIe 5.0 graphics and storage.

Design and Power Delivery

The board uses a black ATX layout measuring 305 by 244 millimeters. Dual 8-pin CPU power connectors feed the VRM, which is covered by large heatsinks. A rear I/O backplate and M.2 thermal guards are included.

Memory and Expansion

Four UDIMM slots accept up to 256 GB of DDR5. Standard speed is 5200 MT/s with AMD EXPO profiles reaching 8200 MT/s when overclocked. The single PCIe 5.0 x16 slot handles modern graphics cards, while three M.2 slots provide two PCIe 5.0 x4 and one PCIe 4.0 x2 interfaces alongside four SATA 6 Gbps ports.

Connectivity and I/O

Networking features two 10 GbE ports driven by a Marvell AQC113C controller, plus Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 via a Realtek RTL8922AE module. Rear USB consists of one 20 Gbps Type-C, three 10 Gbps Type-A, four 5 Gbps Type-A, and four USB 2.0 Type-A ports. Video output includes HDMI and a DisplayPort-alt-mode USB-C.

Internal Headers and Features

Internal headers provide one USB 20 Gbps Type-C, one USB 5 Gbps Type-C, two USB 2.0 headers for four ports, and four RGB headers (one 12 V 4-pin, three 5 V 3-pin). Eight 4-pin PWM fan connectors support air or liquid cooling. Audio uses the Realtek ALC1220 codec. A Clear CMOS button and SPI TPM header are also present.
