Overview

An ATX motherboard built on the AMD X870E chipset for Socket AM5 processors. It targets high-end gaming and heavy workloads with robust power delivery and extensive connectivity.

Design and Power Delivery

The board uses an 8-layer PCB with a black finish and integrated I/O shield. A 16+2+1 phase VRM design delivers up to 90 amps per phase, backed by VRM heatsinks and a rear backplate. Onboard buttons handle power, reset, BIOS flashback, and CMOS clear, while a Q-CODE display aids troubleshooting.

Performance and Memory

Four DIMM slots accept UDIMM DDR5 up to 256 GB total. Overclocked speeds reach 8400 MT/s via AMD EXPO profiles. The primary PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and two PCIe 4.0 x4 slots provide graphics and expansion bandwidth. M.2 cooling covers all four slots.

Connectivity and Networking

Rear I/O includes two USB4 Type-C ports at 40 Gbps, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, and two USB 2.0 Type-A. Video outputs are one HDMI and two USB-C DisplayPort alt-mode. Networking features Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a Realtek 5 GbE LAN port. Audio uses a Realtek ALC897 codec with two analog jacks and optical S/PDIF.

Storage and Internal I/O

Four M.2 sockets support two PCIe 5.0 x4 and two PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe drives, plus four SATA 6 Gbps ports. Internal headers provide one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, one USB 3.2 Gen 1, two USB 2.0, front-panel audio, five 4-pin fan connectors, and five RGB or digital RGB headers.
