Overview

An ATX motherboard built on the AMD B550 chipset for Socket AM4 processors. It suits gamers and builders who want strong VRM cooling, 2.5Gb Ethernet, and PCIe 4.0 support for Ryzen CPUs.

Power Design and Cooling

The VRM uses 8+2 DrMOS power stages that integrate high-side and low-side MOSFETs with drivers for efficient delivery to Ryzen CPUs. Heatsinks cover the VRM and chipset, while six 4-pin fan headers allow flexible airflow management.

Memory and Storage

Four DDR4 slots support up to 128GB at 4800MHz when overclocked. Storage includes one PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slot, one PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 slot, and six SATA 6Gbps ports for mixed SSD and HDD configurations.

Connectivity and Networking

A 2.5Gb Ethernet controller provides up to 2.5 times the bandwidth of standard Gigabit LAN using existing cables. Turbo LAN software with cFosSpeed traffic shaping lets you prioritize gaming packets. Rear I/O includes USB 3.1 Type-C, USB 3.1 Type-A, four USB 3.0 Type-A ports, HDMI, and DisplayPort.

Expansion and Lighting

Expansion slots consist of one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, and three PCIe 3.0 x1 slots. RGB control uses one 3-pin 5V digital header and two 4-pin 12V headers, synchronized through ASUS Aura Sync software.
