Design and Build

The drive uses a single-sided M.2 2280 layout measuring 22 by 2.3 by 80 millimeters and weighs 10 grams. No heatsink is included, so motherboard cooling or an aftermarket sink is recommended for sustained loads.

Performance and Endurance

The Phison PS5025-E25 controller paired with 3D TLC NAND delivers up to 7,400 MB/s sequential reads and 7,000 MB/s writes. SLC caching helps maintain speed during large transfers. Endurance is rated at 1,200 TBW with a 2 million hour MTTF.

Connectivity and Compatibility

The SSD connects via an M.2 key-M slot using the PCIe 4.0 x4 lane configuration and supports the NVMe 2.0 specification. It is backward compatible with PCIe 3.0 slots at reduced speeds.

What Is Included

The package contains the Crucial T500 2TB solid state drive only. Mounting screws and installation guides are not supplied.
