Overview

This 14th generation Intel Core i9 desktop processor delivers 24 cores and 32 threads for heavy multitasking and gaming. It fits LGA 1700 motherboards with 600 or 700 series chipsets and requires a separate cooler.

Hybrid Architecture

The chip combines eight performance cores and sixteen efficiency cores for a total of twenty-four cores. Performance cores reach a 6.0 GHz single-core turbo while efficiency cores hit 4.4 GHz multi-core turbo. The unlocked multiplier allows manual frequency tuning.

Memory and Cache

The integrated memory controller runs dual-channel DDR4 or DDR5 at up to 5600 MT/s standard speed. A combined 36 MB L3 smart cache and 32 MB L2 cache reduce latency for demanding workloads.

Platform Connectivity

The processor provides sixteen PCIe 5.0 lanes for graphics or storage and four PCIe 4.0 lanes for additional devices. It is compatible with Intel 600 and 700 series chipset motherboards using the LGA 1700 socket.

Power and Packaging

Base power is rated at 125 W with a maximum turbo power of 253 W. The boxed retail package does not include a thermal solution, so a compatible cooler must be purchased separately.
