Arctic MX-4 2019 Edition is a carbon-based thermal paste for CPU and GPU cooling. The non-conductive formula eliminates short-circuit risk during application.

Design and Composition

The paste uses carbon microparticles instead of metal, making it electrically non-conductive. This prevents short circuits if compound contacts surrounding components. The white compound ships in a 20-gram syringe.

Performance and Longevity

Thermal conductivity reaches 8.5 W/mK, up from 8.2 W/mK on the previous MX-3. The formula remains stable for eight years after application, reducing the need for frequent re-pasting.

Application Characteristics

Viscosity of 870 Poise and density of 2.5 g/cm³ provide consistent spread without runoff. The non-conductive nature allows a more relaxed application process compared to metallic pastes.
